PRP Facial Rejuvenation

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a minimally-invasive treatment that can help treat early signs of aging, fine lines, dull skin, inflammatory rosacea, acne and acne scarring.

Plasma, a part of the blood rich in healing and growth factors, is reintroduced into the skin during PRP therapy, which stimulates collagen producing cells and encourages the formation of new blood vessels. The results? Skin that looks fresher, smoother and healthier.

  • To start, 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

To maintain, one treatment every 6 months to upkeep your results.

  • Full face to improve skin quality, texture and overall health by stimulating collagen-producing cells and new blood vessel formation, resulting in refreshed and rejuvenated skin.

How PRP Facial Rejuvenation works for you

Ideal for

early signs of aging, fine lines, dull skin, inflammatory rosacea, acne and acne scarring.

Doesn’t treat

deep set lines and folds, volume loss, hyperpigmentation.

Fine lines & wrinkles

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains platelets and growth factors that promote skin regeneration. When injected into the skin, PRP promotes collagen synthesis improving fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin texture

By introducing growth factors and promoting collagen, PRP improves cell function and turnover, leading to smoother, more radiant skin.

Acne & rosacea

Cytokines and other inflammation-mediating factors in PRP moderate inflammation in the skin, helping improve acne, rosacea, and redness.

Acne scars

Cytokines, mesenchymal stem cells, and growth factors in PRP promote healing, helping the body remodel and reduce the appearance of acne scars.

What to expect

Frequently Asked Questions

  • This treatment will start with a blood draw. The blood sample is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. While your provider prepares your PRP, they’ll apply numbing to your face to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

Your provider then injects the PRP across the face using a vacuum-assisted injector device.

  • Overall, PRP treatments will not require much downtime. Most people can resume their normal activities within 24 hours after having a PRP injection but there are a few things to be aware of during recovery.

Immediately after the treatment, it is common to have small bumps all over the skin that can look similar to goosebumps. They usually resolve within a few hours to a day or two post-treatment. Some clients will experience a mild burning sensation immediately following the treatment.

You may experience mild swelling and bruising that can take up to a week to resolve completely.

  • To achieve the best results, we recommend 3-4 sessions spaced at 4-6 weeks intervals. Most patients will notice an improvement in skin texture in the first month with maximum collagen regeneration occurring around 3 months after the initial treatment.

To upkeep results, we recommend a maintenance treatment every six months after the initial 3-4 sessions.

  • Before we can treat patients with PRP, Accutane must be stopped for at least 6 months prior to the initial treatment.
