Fine lines & wrinkles

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) contains platelets and growth factors that promote skin regeneration. When injected into the skin, PRP promotes collagen synthesis improving fine lines and wrinkles.

What to expect

  • Before

    Avoid medications and supplements that increase bleeding and bruising including blood thinners, aspirin, NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatories like advil/ibuprofen), St. John’s Wort, vitamin E and alcohol.

    We recommend staying hydrated and eating lots of fruits and veggies prior to ensure healthy plasma. Nicotine will reduce the treatment’s effectiveness, so try to cut down on smoking in the days leading up to your treatment.

    Full pre- and post- care instructions

  • During

    Your visit will be booked for 45 minutes start-to-end.

    Your treatment will start with a blood draw. The blood sample is then placed in a centrifuge and spun to separate the plasma from the red blood cells. While your provider prepares your PRP, they’ll apply numbing to your face to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

    Your provider then microneedles the PRP into the face.

  • After

    Immediately after:
    Expect redness similar to a moderate sunburn along with mild warmth. We’ll apply a cooling mask and calming products to soothe your skin before you leave. Avoid vigorous exercise and makeup for 48 hours. Some dryness or mild peeling may occur over the next few days.

    For up to a week:
    You may experience mild swelling and bruising that can take up to a week to resolve completely.

  • Results

    Your skin will look glowy and fresh as soon as 1-2 weeks following your treatment. Appearance of fine lines will continue to improve for up to three months following the last treatment in your series as your old collagen is replaced by newer, more effective collagen.

    After your first three treatments, we recommend one treatment every 6 months to upkeep your results.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Overall, PRP treatments will not require much downtime. Most people can resume their normal activities within 24 hours after having a PRP treatment but there are a few things to be aware of during recovery.

    You may experience mild swelling and bruising that can take up to a week to resolve completely.

  • To achieve the best results, we recommend 3-4 sessions spaced at 4-6 weeks intervals. Most patients will notice an improvement in skin texture in the first month with maximum collagen regeneration occurring around 3 months after the initial treatment.

    To upkeep results, we recommend a maintenance treatment every six months after the initial 3-4 sessions.

  • Before we can treat patients with PRP, Accutane must be stopped for at least 6 months prior to the initial treatment.

  • Your skin responds best when your body is well supported. Staying hydrated, eating a nutrient-dense diet, and getting adequate sleep all contribute to improved skin healing, collagen production, and treatment response.

    If you’re looking to amplify your results, consider:

    • An IV Infusion or NAD+ Wellness Injection on the day of your treatment to support hydration, circulation, and the delivery of key nutrients involved in skin repair and regeneration.

    • Pre-conditioning your skin with targeted exfoliation for 2–6 weeks prior to treatment. This helps optimize cellular turnover, refine the skin’s surface, and enhance treatment penetration and efficacy.     • Pairing your treatment with medical-grade skincare, specifically selected to support skin laxity and collagen production.
