Filler

is used to add volume, soften deep lines, and create shape in the face.

Over time, the tissues under the skin lose volume, accentuating lines, creases, and folds. Hyaluronic acid - a compound found in the body that hydrates tissues under the skin - fills those spaces by attracting moisture, leaving the skin looking rejuvenated. Fillers can also be placed in tissues where we would like to see more volume, such as the lips and cheeks. The effect usually lasts 6-12 months, depending on the area injected, how active you are, and your body's natural hyaluronic acid metabolism. You see the effect of the filler immediately.

Cost can vary widely depending on the type of filler used and result you want to achieve. During your consultation you’ll discuss filler options, your budget, and your aesthetic goals.

Your Filler Visit—Step-By-Step

1. CONSULTATION

We’ll start with a consultation where we’ll learn about your face and the changes you’re hoping to make. The goal is to understand how much filler - and where - will give you your desired effect. We’ll answer all your questions and make sure you are totally confident with your plan. We can get started with injections on the same day as your consultation if you’d like!

2. TREATMENT

The procedure takes about twenty minutes, and you’ll get to see the effect right away.

We’ll start by cleansing your face and applying a numbing gel. We mark out exactly where to place the filler to give you the best effect possible. We’ll take our time with your filler injections to make sure we get them right every time.

3. FOLLOW-UP

Filler absorbs water over the few weeks following the procedure, so we’ll bring you back two weeks after your treatment to see your result and make any adjustments we think might improve your result. We usually book your follow-up for 9 months later to help you look refreshed year-round, and you can come back anytime you think the effect is wearing off.

These before and afters are not intended to guarantee that anyone who undergoes this treatment will experience the same or similar results. Individual results will vary. We will never share your before and afters without your permission!

  • Fillers are a hyaluronic acid injection that naturally fills areas by hydrating the tissues under the skin. Young skin has a high amount of hyaluronic acid, allowing it to look fresh and smooth. Over time, the skin loses some of its natural hyaluronic acid, decreasing its ability to retain moisture; this can lead to thin-looking skin, wrinkles, and decreased volume. By injecting hyaluronic acid, we’re able to refresh the skin and return volume to the face; we can smooth wrinkles, add volume to cheeks and lips, and return a youthful fullness to folds and lines around the nose and mouth.

  • Fillers can be truly magical by giving immediate results and showing their full effect around two weeks after injection. This effect can last between six and 18 months, depending where the filler was injected. Areas with lots of movement, such as the lips and around the mouth, tend not to last as long as areas that move less, such as the cheekbones. We like to see our clients again after two weeks to touch up any areas of asymmetry and ensure you are satisfied with your results. We generally recommend repeat treatments after six to twelve months, or whenever you feel like the effect is wearing off.

  • Everyone has different goals when it comes to their beauty. Park specializes in natural-looking, often subtle changes that make you look and feel young, fresh, and rejuvenated. We do our very best to produce the exact look you’re after. We may even use less product than some other injectors to ensure your results are natural.

  • Like any injection, there are some possible side effects, most of which are localized and short-lived. Depending on your risk factors and your injectors’ skill, you may experience bruising, swelling, redness, and soreness. Extremely rarely, hyaluronic acid can get into a blood vessel and, if left untreated, can cause skin breakdown. The doctors at Park Medical are well trained on how to treat this rare event. While fillers are safe, it’s important to choose an injector you are confident has the skills, knowledge, and expertise to minimize possible side effects while helping you achieve the results you want. By choosing the right injector and following your after-care instructions, you can safely look and feel refreshed.

  • Fillers come in pre-filled amounts, so the price is generally communicated on a “per syringe” basis. The cost of each syringe varies depending on the type of filler needed for the effect you’d like -- lip filler costs a little less than cheek filler, for example. Industry-standard for fillers is $600-800, depending on the type of filler.

The number of syringes you need depends on how pronounced you’d like the change to be, and we’ll be able to give you some recommendations based on our assessment of your face. Most people need one or two syringes for each area they’d like treated.
